History and Tradition

Ogilvie Jennings came in to being in December 2001 as a result of the merger of two old established Hobart firms, Ogilvie McKenna and Jennings Elliott. The reason for the merger was manifold, but ultimately to combine resources and expertise in order to provide a legal service to Tasmanians of the highest quality, efficiently and competitively.

Through the combination of resources we are able to take advantage of additional and effective training for all personnel, the efficient capture, retrieval and use of legal knowledge, the ability for legal personnel to specialise in many areas of law and the greater use of technology in areas of communication.

We believe that at Ogilvie Jennings we have achieved a balance of youthful exuberance, endeavour and ambition coupled with steadiness, experience and reliability with our legal and para-legal personnel.
