Tom graduated from the University of Tasmania with a combined degree of Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws. He completed his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the Tasmanian Legal Practice Course and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tasmania.

Tom is a member of our civil litigation team. He comes to Ogilvie Jennings after working at Tasmanian Legal Aid as a criminal defence lawyer in their busy Burnie office.

Whilst at Tasmanian Legal Aid Tom appeared extensively in the Magistrates Court of Tasmania and regularly in the Supreme Court of Tasmania on criminal matters where he developed his advocacy skills. He is comfortable on his feet and enjoys representing his clients in a range of jurisdictional settings.

Tom maintains a regular criminal defence practice while expanding his practice into general civil litigation, with a particular interest in estate litigation, workers compensation and plaintiff personal injuries claims, employment litigation for both workers and employers and industrial relation disputes.

Tom is available in out Hobart office and in our Glenorchy and Kingston offices by appointment.
